The role of the auger motor in the asphalt paver is to drive the auger parting system to achieve uniform transfer of the material over the full width of the paver.
Auger distribution system is an important part of asphalt pavers, it is composed of auger drive box, auger shaft, auger hanger, auger front baffle, auger baffle pull bar and brace bar, auger guard net, auger height adjustment device. The auger motor drives the auger active sprocket by transmitting torque, decelerating and increasing torque, and then drives the Auger passive sprocket through a chain to make the Auger shaft rotate. This rotating motion creates a paving groove between the auger baffle and the rammer front baffle, which transfers the paving material evenly from the middle of the paver to the full width of the paver. This design ensures the uniformity and efficiency of the paving material in the paving process, which is one of the key mechanisms for asphalt pavers to achieve efficient and uniform paving .
